‘Square foot’ ministry to host fun walk, race Feb. 28

Square Foot Ministry in Fayetteville is sponsoring a Leap of Faith Fun Walk/5K Race Saturday, Feb. 28, at 9: a.m.

Proceeds from the race will go toward the building of a new home for the Curtis Petty Family. The fun walk/run will be held within the historic Fayetteville downtown area.

Runners and walkers are asked to check in at 8:30 a.m. and meet in the parking lot of Fayetteville First United Methodist Church, 170 East Lanier Avenue.

There is a $15 entrance fee for runners only and a free t-shirt is included.

Square Foot Ministry is asking that walkers and runners get others to sponsor them either by the foot or by the mile. A penny per foot for the 3.1-mile path will net $163.68.

To receive a registration application form, fax your name and address to 770-461-4990, or pick up a form on the day of the race.

It will take $25 to build each square foot in the new home for the Petty family. Donations of any amount will be accepted. Donations to the build project may be made directly by going to the Web site, www.squarefootministry.com. Indicate that the donation is for the Curtis Petty build.
