Store should follow the rules

To me this should not be an issue. It doesn’t matter what the banner says. The fact is that Crumpton’s Furniture is in violation of city ordinance Chapter 6 Section 6-8.

It is my understanding that the company never applied for a permit. It is also my understanding that the city did nothing until they received a complaint from another business who had been required to remove their banner.

What concerns me is that it appears that the city was not going to take any action until they where pressed to do so.

I hope that the city of Fayetteville will not make an exception to the current ordinance and that they uniformly enforce the laws that they were elected to uphold.

When we let emotions overcome the facts, the outcome is always bad.
