Booth rolling in hoops tourney
The eighth-grade basketball teams from Booth Middle School are in prime position to close out this season with league championships and a pair of stunning two-year runs for the players on both squads. The Lady Warriors, coached by Jennifer Goode, won their first-round game Friday night 54-9 over Luella Middle of Henry County. That gave the girls a 25-0 record over a two-year span (including last years seventh-grade season) going into last nights game against Flat Rock. The boys also played Luella in the first round, winning 54-22 and moving on to face Eagles Landing from Henry County tonight. They closed out the regular season with a 14-2 record. The championship games are scheduled for Friday night at 5:30 (girls) and 6:45 (boys). All tournament games are at Fayette Middle. Back to the Top of the PageBack to the Sports Home Page
