Chinese service set for Feb. 15 at Harp’s Crossing

Harp’s Crossing Baptist Church will have a Chinese (Mandarin speaking) worship service Sunday, Feb. 15, at 11 a.m. Sunday school class is at at 9:30 a.m. For more information, call the church office, 770-461-5318. The church is at 1183 Highway 92 South, Fayetteville.

Special service set at Life Line Worship center

Life Line Family Worship Center will have an appreciation service for Pastor Marilyn S. Gaines, Sunday, Feb. 15 at 11 a.m. Guest speaker will be Prophetess Kay Thompson of Faith Walk Ministries, Inc. The worship center is at 115 Rainbow Way, Fayetteville.

Volunteers sought for Newnan spirituals concert

The Southern Crescent Chorale is seeking volunteers to serve as ushers or work the ticket sales booth for an upcoming Spirituals concert to be held at 3 p.m. on Feb. 29 at the First United Methodist Church of Newnan. Crosspoint to feature Passover service

Bert Sandler of Light of Messiah Ministries in Atlanta will present “Jesus in the Passover” at Crosspoint Community Church in Peachtree City Sunday, Feb. 15, at 11 a.m. The service is intended to bring to life the Jewish roots of faith in Jesus. Sandler will set up a Passover table with all the traditional elements involved in the Passover meal and will demonstrate how Jewish people celebrate the Passover today. St. Paul Lutheran welcomes new senior pastor

The Rev. Daniel Schepmann was installed as the new senior pastor at St. Paul Lutheran Church and School (Missouri Synod) in Peachtree City during a special service held last Sunday afternoon. Schepmann will work closely with current pastor, Rev. Ron Janssen, principal Dan Palisch, and the faculty and staff of St. Paul in meeting the needs of the church and school. Schepmann was born in St. Louis, Mo., but spent the majority of his childhood in Houston, Texas. He was graduated form Concordia Lutheran College, Austin, Texas in 1991 with a B.A. in elementary education and later received his master’s of divinity degree from Concordia Seminary in St. Louis. Schepmann and his wife, Karisa, have a four-year-old son, Thomas.
