Proposed new curriculum is style over substance

Mr. Jarrell says it pretty well. Style over substance is eroding our public schools. What used to be common sense is not so common these days.

What does viewing sitcoms have anything to do with teaching students about our nation’s birth through tough and good times? Sounds like we are playing into the hands of the Hollywood crowd in tailoring the curriculum to meet the “feel good, don’t hurt my feelings” crowd.
