FFBC to offer Precept Bible study on ‘Joshua’

The Fayetteville First Baptist Church will offer a weekly Bible study on “Joshua,” each Thursday, beginning Feb. 5, from 6:45-9 p.m. The cost is $17. For information or to enroll, contact Judy Knight, 770-461-8238.

Crossroads Community Church plans revival

Crossroads Community Church at 122 Robinson Way, Fayetteville (Soccer Center Industrial Park) will have a revival Thursday through Saturday, Feb. 5-7. Services on Thursday and Friday will be at 7:30 pm with special music and speakers. The service on Saturday, Feb 7, will begin with a luncheon at 11 a.m., followed by the service. Ramah Baptist schedules revival

Ramah First Baptist Church in Palmetto will have a revival Sunday, Feb. 8 through Wednesday, Feb. 11, with services beginning at 7 p.m. each night. Guest evangelist will be the Rev. Don Ledbetter. Ramah Baptist is on the corner of Phipps Road and U.S. Hwy. 29 in Palmetto.

New Life gospel group to perfom at FCC

The Fayetteville Christian Church will host the New Life Trio, a gospel group from Dayton, Ohio, during the morning worship service on Sunday, Feb. 8. A love offering will be taken to help support the ministry. Fayetteville Christian is on the corner of New Hope and Hickory roads in Fayetteville. Columbine parent to speak at Providence

Darrell Scott, father of Rachel Joy Scott who was killed in the Columbine High School shooting in 1999, will speak at Providence United Methodist Church Sunday, Feb. 8, at 6 p.m. Tickets to the event are free, but reservations are required. Free tickets may be obtained by calling the Providence UMC church office, 770-719-8800. The church is on Bernhard Road in south Fayette County, between Ga. Hwy. 85 and Redwine Road.

FFBC to host Christian Minstrels

Christian Minstrels, a 12-member vocal ensemble auditioned from the Atlanta Christian College Concert Choir, will sing at both morning worship services (8:25 and 11:05 a.m.) on Sunday, Feb. 8 at Fayetteville First Baptist Church. That same evening, they will join the Atlanta Christian College Concert Choir for a 6 p.m. concert in the Ministry Center of the church. Fayetteville First Baptist is at 205 E. Harp’s ladies to host mission celebration

The Women on Mission at Harp’s Crossing Baptist Church will host the South Metro Baptist Association Mission Celebration Monday, Feb. 9, beginning with dinner at 6:30 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall. The meeting will begin at 7:15. Special guests will be Phil and Myra Kitchin, Southern Baptist international missionaries to Belgium. National Heights plans Valentine dinner

Members of National Heights Baptist Church will present an evening of “fine food, music and entertainment,” during a Valentine banquet planned for Saturday, Feb. 14 in the church Fellowship Hall. The cost is $10 per person and the event is not just for couples. Featured will be piano music by Hugh Waddy, special music by James and Jim Allen, and humor by Clarissa Strickland. The event is open to family, friends, neighbors and anyone in the community who would like to attend. Reservations are requested by Feb. 8. Southern Crescent Chorale to perform here

The Southern Crescent Chorale, under the direction of Janice Folsom, will perform Saturday, Feb. 28, at 8 p.m. at Peachtree City United Methodist Church, and Sunday, Feb. 29, at 3 p.m. at First United Methodist Church of Newnan. The chorale will perform a selection of spirituals. All tickets are $10 for adults and $8 for students and seniors (60+). Tickets are available at the door or may be bought in advance at “By Invitation Only,” 119 S. Glynn St. on the Fayetteville Square.
