Tickets on sale for St. Patrick’s show

Tickets for Stars on the Southern Crescent coffee house's second annual St. Patrick Day’s Festival are now available at the Peachtree City Library and the Fayette County Library.

Due to the popularity of the talent slated to appear, the coffee house, which takes place Friday, March 5 and Saturday, March 6 at Fayette Family YMCA, is sure to be another standing-room-only event. Friday evening's show includes the Lost Boys, a Georgia Renaissance Festival favorite with a wide following; the Nashville band Daybreak, new to Stars on the Southern Crescent; and dancers from the Drake School of Irish Dancing. On Saturday, the Buddy O'Reilly Band, which has appeared widely in the Atlanta vicinity, makes its Stars debut, along with Barney's Goat, a versatile group which has performed at Stars many times since the coffee house's inception in 1993.

Tickets are $8 for general admission and $6 for senior citizens and children twelve and under.  The Peachtree City Library is located at 201 Willowbend Road, 770-631-2520, and the Fayette County Library at 1821 Heritage Parkway, 770-461-8841. Any remaining tickets will be sold at the door. Tickets may also be purchased by mail. Checks may be sent to Offshoot Productions, P.O. Box 2462, Peachtree City, GA 30269.

The house opens at 7:45 each evening, and the performances begin at 8:15 p.m. Patrons who bring their own mugs receive a discount on hot beverages and compete for the “Most Unusual Mug” award. Concessions include desserts from EJ's Sweets and Gift Shop, 770-719-CAKE (2253) and assorted hot and cold beverages.

The YMCA is at 215 Huiet Road, off of Ga Hwy 54 between Peachtree City and downtown Fayetteville.
