Greeks plan St. Basil’s Day celebration

The Greek Orthodox Mission of Peachtree City will have its first Vasilopita (St. Basil’s Day) covered dish dinner Friday, Jan. 30, at 6:30 p.m., at the Gathering Place in Peachtree City. Walk through the New Testament

The public is invited to attend “Walk thru the New Testament,” an interactive Bible Adventure Seminar suitable for the whole family. Christ Our Shepherd Lutheran Church will host this interactive learning experience on Saturday, Jan. 31, beginning at 9 a.m. and concluding by 3:30 p.m. Participants will experience stories about people, places and events of the New Testament and be given aids to remember them. Children in third grade and older may attend with a parent. The cost is $20 for adults and $15 for students 3rd grade through 12th and includes a book and a light lunch. Grace Evangelical Bible study announced

Grace Evangelical Church announces a Beth Moore ladies Bible study, “Believing God,” beginning Tuesday, Feb. 3, at 9:30 a.m The sessions will run 10 weeks and childcare is provided. For registration call Doris, 770-487-1249.

FFBC ladies plan luncheon Feb. 3

The ladies at Fayetteville First Baptist Church will have a WMU celebration and covered dish luncheon Tuesday, Feb. 3 at 11 a.m. in the new fellowship hall. Patti and Elise Ivey will speak on their trip to Ethiopia. For more information, call the church office, 770-461-8378.

Crossroads Community Church plans revival

Crossroads Community Church at 122 Robinson Way, Fayetteville (Soccer Center Industrial Park) will have a revival Thursday through Saturday, Feb. 5-7. Services on Thursday and Friday will be at 7:30 pm with special music and speakers. The service on Saturday, Feb 7, will begin with a luncheon at 11 a.m., followed by the service. FFBC to offer Precept Bible study on ‘Joshua’

Southern Crescent Chorale to perform here

The Southern Crescent Chorale, under the direction of Janice Folsom, will perform Saturday, Feb. 28, at 8 p.m. at Peachtree City United Methodist Church, and Sunday, Feb. 29, at 3 p.m. at First United Methodist Church of Newnan. The chorale will perform a selection of spirituals. All tickets are $10 for adults and $8 for students and seniors (60+). Tickets are available at the door or may be bought in advance at “By Invitation Only,” 119 S. Glynn St. on the Fayetteville Square.

FFUMC to host Golden Bells handbell choir

The Golden Bells, Atlanta’s premier professional handbell choir, will perform in the sanctuary of the Fayetteville First United Methodist Church Sunday, March 7, at 6:30 pm. There will be no charge for admission though a love offering will be taken. Those attending the performance are asked to bring toiletry items such as soap, toothpaste, shampoo, and deodorant, which the Golden Bells collects and distributes to people in need. The church is at 175 E. Lanier Ave. on the square in downtown Fayetteville. For further information, contact the church office, 770-461-4313, ext. 17.

Common Ground Bible study offered

Common Ground is a bible study group for singles and married couples in their twenties and thirties. The group focuses on spiritual growth through Bible study, fellowship, and involvement in local mission causes. The current topic of study is the book of Mark. Common Ground meets every Wednesday night at 6:30 pm at the Peachtree City First Presbyterian Church, 206 Willowbend Drive. Childcare is provided at the church. New members are welcome. Rainbow groups start at Holy Trinity next month

Rainbows is an international, non-profit organization that fosters emotional healing among children who have experienced significant loss or changes in their lives (such as death or divorce). Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Peachtree City will offer faith-based Rainbows support groups for children in kindergarten through fifth grade beginning in early February. All are welcome.
