Auers named ‘Outstanding Senior’ at UGA

Auers has achieved academically as well as being a leader with the Air Force ROTC program at the university. He has been on the dean’s list or the president’s list every semester since attending UGA.

It was Auers’ accomplishments in the ROTC program that helped him achieve the honor of being named an Outstanding Senior. Auers was named Commander of the detachment this past semester which is the highest rank that can be attained as a cadet. Upon his graduation this spring, Thomas will be commissioned a Second Lieutenant in the United States Air Force.

Cadet Col. Auers is a 2000 graduate of Sandy Creek High School where he recently spent the day speaking with the cadets of the JROTC program. He is the son of Loren and Libby Auers of Fayetteville.
