SCA coming back to Peachtree City Game of the Goose, Rythmomachy, Twelve Men Morris they sound like the names of alternative bands, right? Well, they might be, but these are also the names of medieval board games. The Society for Creative Anachronism returns to the Peachtree City Library Jan. 8 for an information session and workshop on period board games. Those who visited the SCA event at the Peachtree City Library Oct. 12 may have gotten a small taste of the kinds of games played a few hundred years ago. Guillaume, of the Barony of the South Downs, will be on hand to share his skill and expertise with those who attend the free workshop. Registration is not required but it is greatly appreciated. Please call the library at 770-631-2520 if you’d like to attend this introductory workshop, which is scheduled to start at 7 p.m. and will be held downstairs at the library. Admission is free.
