Christ the King hosts missions conference The fourth annual Missions Conference for the Diocese of Georgia was recently hosted by Christ the King Charismatic Episcopal Church in Sharpsburg. The Most. Rev. John W. Holloway, Bishop of Georgia, opened the conference by teaching during the first session, and the Most. Rev. Gene Lilly, Auxiliary Bishop to the Philippines, taught and ministered for the remainder of the day. Lilly has been ministering in the Philippines since the late 1970s and has been responsible for the planting of more than 1,000 churches. Participants came from a number of churches, including St. Michael and All angels in Thomaston, Prince of Peace in Peachtree City, St. Matthews in Hogansville, and Christ the King. The Society of Christ the Healer, a medical missionary organization based at Christ the King, is planning a Philippine missionary endeavor in July, 2004. Christ the King Charismatic Episcopal is at 4881 Ga. Hwy. 34 East, between Peachtree City and Newnan. The pastor is Fr. David Epps.
