Bible Baptist to offer conference Jan. 4-6 Bible Baptist Church in Newnan will offer a “Fresh Start Sword of the Lord” conference Sunday through Tuesday, Jan. 4-6. Special speakers include Dr. Shelton Smith, editor of the Sword of the Lord, and Dr. Roger Green, pastor of Grace Baptist Church in Middletown, Ohio. Special music will be provided Monday evening by Bro. Lonnie Moore. Smith will speak Sunday morning at 10 a.m. and Sunday evening at 6:30 p.m. On Monday and Tuesday, Smith will be joined by green for evening services beginning at 7 p.m. A nursery will be provided for all services. On Tuesday morning, Smith and Green will conduct a service at 10 a.m. during which the Georgia Independent Baptist Preachers Fellowship will meet. Pastor Doug Anderson of Bible Baptist Church will moderate the meeting. “As we approach the beginning of a new year, many of you will be making new year’s resolutions about your physical, mental and financial well being,” a spokesperson said. “But will you be making resolutions concerning your spiritual well being?
