Santa Run wraps up this weekend

The Peachtree City Volunteer Fire Fighters Association, in coordination with the Peachtree City Fire Department, will conduct the final weekend of its annual Santa Run this weekend. The Saturday run will begin at 9 a.m. and end at 2 p.m., with Sunday’s run lasting from noon-4 p.m.  

This continues a 10-year tradition of collecting canned goods to be donated to neighborhood charities. Donations this year will go to the Fayette County Optimist Club and the Fayette County Samaritans, to be distributed to local residents in need of assistance. The Santa Run also provides Peachtree City children with a visit from “The Jolly Old Elf” atop a fire truck. Have your canned goods ready and listen for the sirens to announce the arrival of the Santa Run. The schedule for each date is listed below.

Dec. 20: Village Park, Harmony Village, Balmoral Village, Fairways, Cypress Point, Masters Square, Hampton’s Corner, Calgary Place, Muirfield, Morallion Hills, Evian, Pleasance Grove, Tamerlane, Waterford Green, The Colonade, Kenton Place, The Rubicon, Bedford Park, Foreston Place, Wilshire Estates, The Preserve, Ashton Park, Oakdale, Kimmeridge, Crescent Oak, Huntington Place, The Oaks, The Estates, Village On The Green.

Dec. 21: Camp Creek Estates, Groveland, Sawmill Trace, Shadowood, Sandown Creek, Lake Forest Glen, McIntosh Corner, Center Green, Braelinn Court, Peachtree Club, Braelinn Green, Ridgefield, Glen Clarin, Brookfield, Treliage, The Terraces, Peachtree Walk, Wickerhill, Everhill, Chestnut Field, Burnham Woods, Tapestry, Wedgewood, Bradford Estates, Robinson’s Bend Estates, Creekside Crossing, The Mark’s North, The Mark’s South, The Summit, Rockspray, The Retreat, Summer Brook, Timberlay, Meadow Run, Prestwick.
