The Starr’s Mill Panthers competed at the Walton Duals over the weekeend with mixed results. Wins were against Lee County (44-27) and defending Tennessee state champion and tournament finalist McCallie (33-31). The Panthers lost to Walton (19-41) and Centennial (26-48).

Injuries to Patrick Kellerman (160) and Bruce Ferguson (140) forced Coach Statham

to shuffle the lineup from 119-160, giving up 3 forfeits at 160. Derek

King, Cory Radcliffe and Bradley Conner went undefeated.

The Panthers are also going to the South Metro tournament this weekend.

In this week’s coaches poll, Starr’s Mill is ranked eighth in the state in AAAAA, while Landmark is fourth in A.
