Now that Zaxby’s has moved to Peachtree City, the company is ready to locate in Fayetteville near the Fayette Pavilion.

The restaurant, which features a chicken-heavy menu recently submitted plans to the city to build a location at Ga. Highway 85 and Ellis Road. The company is also asking for a special exception to have a drive-through area.

The company has temporarily withdrawn its site plans so they may be improved based on input from city staff.

Developers for another restaurant, Locos Deli and Pub, have also withdrawn plans for a second site they picked out after receiving opposition from nearby homeowners on their first site.

The second location would have been on Ga. Highway 314, but it drew criticism because it would be adjacent to the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church.
