Flash fire causes little damage at Fayetteville body shop

No one was injured when a small flash fire broke out at Brian’s Paint and Body in Fayetteville Wednesday morning.

The fire occurred while an employee was doing welding work, according to Capt. Pete Nelms of the Fayette County Department of Fire and Emergency Services.

Firefighters checked the building’s exhaust system to make sure the fire hadn’t spread, Nelms said. There was minimal damage to the building, he added.
