Christ Our Hope members plan dinner/dance Friday

Adult members of Christ Our Hope Lutheran Church will have their annual Christmas dinner/dance Friday, Dec. 5, at 7 p.m. at The Links Country Club. The cost is $25 per couple. FFUMC’s SAGE group plans December outing

The SAGE group (Senior Adults Going Everywhere) at Fayetteville First United Methodist Church is planning a trip to Fairburn Dec. 5 to view the Southside Theater Guild’s production of “It’s a Wonderful Life.”

St. Andrew’s ladies plan Christmas craft fair Dec. 6

The Episcopal Church Women (ECW) at St. Andrew’s in-the-Pines Episcopal Church will have a Christmas crafts fair Saturday, Dec. 6, from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. in the Parish Hall of the church. Featured items will include a wide variety of baked goods, holiday crafts, art, jewelry, silver items, stuffed animals and “nearly new” items. All proceeds benefit the programs at St. Andrew’s. ‘Cookies with Santa’ set for Dec. 6 at St. Andrew’s

Children in the community are invited to participate in the annual “Cookies With Santa” event Saturday, Dec. 6, from 10 a.m.-noon at St. Andrew’s in-the-Pines Episcopal Church in Peachtree city. Visitors will be treated to cookies and juice, a chance to participate in craft projects, and have their photos taken with Santa. There is a $4 charge per child for photos. All proceeds benefit the St. Andrew’s preschool and kindergarten programs. St. Andrew’s is at Peachtree Parkway and Stevens Entry. For more information, call the preschool office, 770-486-8203. Fayetteville Christian choirs to present musical Sunday

The adult, teen, and children’s choirs of the Fayetteville Christian Church will be featured in a musical performance Sunday, Dec. 7, at 10:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. The presentation is entitled “Hope Has Come,” and emphasizes the hope embedded in the Christmas story. Inman, North Fayette, join choirs for Cantata

Inman and North Fayette United Methodist churches will join forces for a presentation of “Fear Not! ... Encountering the Christ of Christmas,” a musical production combining choirs and orchestra, Saturday, Dec. 6, at 5 p.m. at North Fayette United Methodist Church, 847 New Hope Rd. The production will be repeated on Sunday, Dec. 14 at 7 p.m. at Inman, 151 Hills Bridge Rd.

FFUMC’s Third Thursday group to visit Governor’s mansion

The Third Thursday group at Fayetteville First United Methodist Church will leave the church at 9 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 11, and travel to Atlanta to visit the Governor’s mansion which has been decorated for Christmas. The group will have lunch after the tour and return to Fayetteville by mid-afternoon. The cost is $1 for transportation, with individuals providing their own lunch costs. LDS to present live Nativity Dec. 13

Members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Whitewater Ward, will present a live Nativity Saturday, Dec. 13 at 7:30 p.m., at 2021 Redwine Rd. Directions: Traveling south on Peachtree Parkway, turn left onto Redwine Rd and go about .2 miles to see Nativity on left.

Children’s Christmas program is Dec. 14 at Christ Our Hope

The children’s choirs at Christ Our Hope Lutheran Church will present their Christmas program, “The Visitor,” at the 8:30 and 11 a.m. worship services Sunday, Dec. 14. The congregation will have a potluck dinner following the 11 a.m. service. Christ Our Hope is at 2165 Ga. Hwy. 138, S.W., Riverdale.

The adult choirs at Christ Our Hope Lutheran Church will present their Christmas Cantata during the 8:30 and 11 a.m. worship services.
