Shopping for a cause is Saturday

Tanger Outlet Stores have a sweet treat in store for their shoppers Dec. 6, as the Tanger Holiday Food Fest benefiting Noah’s Ark will take place from noon to 5 p.m.

Restaurateurs from the area will set up food stations along the coveredsidewalk area and invite customers to sample tasty treats. Ticket stations will be located throughout the center and shoppers may purchase booklets of 25 tickets for $20 or individual tickets for $1 each.

Restaurants will have pre-determined amounts set for food items ranging from $1-$2 per item.

All proceeds will be donated to Noah’s Ark, which provides a home for abused, unwanted and orphaned children and animals. Restaurants involved in this first annual event include Buckhead Brewery & Grill, Cruizer’s Café, Gecko Grill, Great American Hot Dog/Dessert Factory, Gregory’s Steakhouse, Hooters of McDonough, Kickin’ Chicken of Locust Grove, O.B.’s BBQ, San Diego Mexican Restaurant, Shane’s Rib Shack, Sonic Drive-In of McDonough, Sunrise China Restaurant, Tropical Smoothie Café and many more.

The event will also feature live entertainment by The Mustangs from 12:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. and a live radio remote with Porsche Foxx from V103 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.
