More tree lightings early next week

Christian City will have its 17th annual tree lighting ceremony and “Trim A Tree Party” Monday, Dec. 1. The event, which will kick off a month-long celebration of the holiday season; will feature a night with over 20 Christmas Trees, carolers and residents from the nursing home and assisted living enjoying the festivities.

The night will be highlighted by the lighting of the 60-foot Christmas tree in front of the facility. All are invited for this fun night of food and festivity.

Tyrone will have its annual Christmas event Dec. 2 beginning at 5:30 p.m. There will be the lighting of the tree, a visit from Santa, entertainment and more. The event will last until 8 p.m. and the publis is asked to bring canned goods to doante at the event. Phone 770-487-4694.
