Fuhrman
named to All-FFC team The Freedom Football Conference announced Monday that Kings Point junior linebacker Matt Fuhrman, a former Starrs Mill player, has been named a first-team All-Conference selection. A total of 10 players from the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy were chosen for All-Conference honors. He registered 68 tackles (44 solo) and led the FFC by a wide margin with 16.5 tackles for loss and 10.0 sacks, while forcing three fumbles. The U.S. Merchant Marine Academy
went 6-4 this season under first-year head coach Tim McNulty, including
a 3-3 mark in Freedom Football Conference play, which tied for a third-place
finish. Included in the six victories was a 22-14 victory over NCAA Tournament-bound
Muhlenberg College.
