PTC Flash youth shine at state x-country meet

PTC Flash athletes competed at the USA Track and Field State Championships held at Al Bishop Park in Marietta this weekend. Four of the age groups competing had teams, and all four of those teams qualified for the Regional Junior Olympic Championships held in Richmond, Virginia next weekend.

Leading the pack was the Midget Girls with another First Place finish. Many of these girls have come up running Ð and improving - together through the last several years, not only winning the state title for three years running, but also representing Georgia at Regional and Nationals.

The Midget Boys Team also qualified for Regional with a third place team finish. Also qualifying were the the Sub-Bantam girls and boys, the girls with a third place team finish, and the boys with second place. Of the 36 athletes that competed, 29 qualified to travel to Richmond, Va. for the regional meet. They will be competing against top athletes from North Carolina, South Carolina, Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, D.C.
