Brooks UMC will have annual Fall Fling Nov. 22

Members of the Brooks United Methodist Church will host their annual Fall Fling Saturday, Nov. 22, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. The event will feature food to eat on the premises or take home in bulk (barbecue, brunswick stew and “fixins”), a cookbook sale by the ladies and a rummage sale. The church is on the corner of Ga. Hwy. 85 Connector and Morgan Mill Road.

FFBC plans Thanksgiving dinner Nov. 23

Members of Fayetteville First Baptist Church will have a church wide Thanksgiving dinner Sunday, Nov. 23, at 6 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall. Prices are $4 for adults , $3 for children, and $2 for preschoolers. Reservations are requested. Call the church office, 770-461-8378.

Bethany to host community Thanksgiving service

Bethany United Methodist Church will host a community Thanksgiving service Sunday, Nov. 23, at 6 p.m. and will provide the meal for the four churches participating in the event. Supper will follow the service at 7 p.m. Bethany is at 607 Rivers Rd. in north Fayette County.

Christ Our Hope Thanksgiving service is Nov. 26

A Thanksgiving Eve service will be held at Christ Our Hope Lutheran Church, Riverdale, at 7:30 p.m. on Nov. 26. As part of this special service, those attending are asked to bring gifts of nonperishable foods, which will be donated to the Atlanta Community Food Bank to help stock their food pantry for the coming months. Items needed are pasta, canned vegetables, canned meats, rice, cereals and baby food.

Cliftondale churches plan Thanksgiving service

The Cliftondale United Methodist and Cliftondale First Baptist churches will have a joint Thanksgiving Eve service Wednesday, Nov. 26, at 7 p.m. The service will be held at the Cliftondale United Methodist Church, 4095 Stonewall Tell Rd. The Rev. Sally Oakes of Cliftondale UMC will preach and the Rev. John Simmone of Cliftondale First Baptist will lead the music. Body of Christ plans Thanksgiving service

The Body of Christ Church International, U.S.A., will have a Thanksgiving service Thursday, Nov. 27, at 9 a.m. The church is at 3650 Flat Shoals Rd. in College Park.

First Baptist’s WMU luncheon is Dec. 2

The WMU ladies’ Christmas program and luncheon will be Tuesday, Dec. 2 at 11 a.m. at Fayetteville First Baptist Church. Special guests will be the ladies from the Korean Fellowship and ESL (English as a Second Language) classes. Tickets are available at the church office on Stonewall Avenue in Fayetteville. PTC UMC Handbell Choirs to present program

The Handbell Choirs of Peachtree City United Methodist Church will present their annual Christmas concert on Wednesday, Dec. 3, at 6:45 p.m. Participants range in age from third grade to adult. The concert will take place at the Robinson Road campus.

FFBC ladies schedule Christmas event

Ladies at Fayetteville First Baptist Church will have a Christmas dinner Thursday, Dec. 4 at 6:30 p.m. Doors will open at 6:10. Tickets are $5 and are available through the church office. Call 770-461-8378, for more information.

FFUMC’s SAGE group plans December outing

The SAGE group (Senior Adults Going Everywhere) at Fayetteville First United Methodist Church is planning a trip to Fairburn Dec. 5 to view the Southside Theater Guild’s production of “It’s a Wonderful Life.” Further details will be announced later.

Women in Red celebration planned for Dec. 7

The Pastor’s Aide Committee of Woods Memorial Baptist Church, 5665 Old National Highway in College Park, will host its second annual “100 Women in Red” celebration Sunday, Dec. 7, at 4 p.m. The theme for the service is “Fellowshipping With Him and One Another.” The guest speaker will be the Rev. Providence plans Breakfast with Santa Dec. 13

Members of Providence UMC invite families in the community to attend their annual Breakfast with Santa, Saturday, Dec. 13, from 8 a.m. until noon. The cost is $5 per person or $20 per family. Activities will include a pancake breakfast, photos with Santa, a craft fair with local crafters, a Christmas gift wrap station, and children’s craft time.
