Moe’s arrives in Fayette

The latest addition to Fayette’s dining scene is one I know many in the area have been counting the days until it arrived.

Moe’s Southwest Grill opened at 1360 Ga. Highway 85, near the Fayette Pavilion Nov.6.

Although it’s a chain, it doesn’t have the antiseptic feel of many of the chains that have added a link in Fayette in the last few years.

The restaurant was actually started by man named Moe who wanted to combine his favorite Southwestern flavors, along with some really groovy music.

Moe’s menu is pretty straightforward, and offers Southwestern dishes from burritos to tacos, and quesadillas.

I know what you’re saying..”Not another Mexican restaurant!”

Well, Moe’s is not your typical tough chips and rancid salsa place. First, the food is prepared fresh. Look into the open kitchen; there’s no freezer or microwave. Everything is prepared to order, and you can taste the difference.

Also, Moe’s gives you enormous bang for your buck. Burritos range from $4.69 for a vegetarian, also known as the Art Vandalay (Seinfeld anyone?) burrito to the Homewrecker at 45.99, which features just about everything you can imagine in a burrito. Besides being freshly prepared, the burritos are huge. Smaller eaters could easily make two meals out of one of these giant Southwestern treats.

Tacos range from $2.09 to $2.99, while fajitas top the scale at $7.99.

Moe’s also features a lids menu with small-sized portions and adult beverages.

Next time you get a hankering for Mexican, try the fresh tastes of Moe’s.
