Fayette Coweta Family Theatre has produced a number of shows, classes and camps for children over the past several years. Now, with their new group, Sharpsburg On Stage, they are offering something for an older and more sophisticated crowd. They will present their inaugural performances of two one act plays, “Not My Cup of Tea,” and “Next Victim, Please” this week at the A&O Bridges Center in Sharpsburg.

“Not My Cup of Tea” is a 30 minute play about two aging sisters who conspire to murder their mother. The problem is that the mother is harder to knock off than they first thought. The show features Glo Tinsley, Linda Stell and Tammy Barton. “Next Victim, Please” is a 60 minute show about a greedy family that gathers together for the reading of the Colonel’s Last Will and Testament. The family is each hoping for a piece of the pie, but the Colonel names one person in charge of the family. The problem is that every time a new person is named, they are murdered. Things only get worse when Detective Swift arrives to investigate. The cast of “Next Victim, Please” includes Barton, Tinsley, Alwyn Mindoro, Alicia Tucker, Shea Thomas, Kimberly Crawley, Michael Peaden Jr., Jay Rieger, Simon Hukin, Cathy O’Keefe, Carissa Jensen, Barbara Eugene, Nicholas Anderson and Anna Cook.

The shows will be presented in what is described as a very intimate atmosphere and desserts and beverages will be offered at intermission. Showtimes are 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, Nov. 13-15 with a special 2 p.m. performance on Saturday as well.

Tickets are $12 for adults and $10 for seniors over the age of 60 and students ages 8-18. The ticket price includes desserts and beverages and a portion of the proceeds will go to the Sharpsburg Library Fund. There will also be a $1 discount on tickets for individuals or families donating five or more books to the library.

Tickets can be purchased by calling 770-251-7611 or by visiting www.fcft.net.
