“Im just excited and ready to start putting our team together,” said an exuberant Robert Hannah after winning Senoia’s mayoral election Tuesday.

Hannah defeated incumbent Mayor Dianne Cleveland by the count of 179 votes to 138.

Hannah, who was quite hoarse Wednesday, said he was pleased with the turnout Tuesday and was quite thankful to all the residents who helped him win the race.

He plans to take off a few days off, and then start formulating some exact plans for items he’d like to see accomplished when he takes office in January.

Across town, Cleveland quietly left a party being thrown for her. She did not return calls by press time.
