Doc Holliday Days this weekend Griffins most famous native son - John Henry Doc Holliday will be celebrated this weekend. The fun begins Saturday at 10 a.m. with a parade. The planned route starts out by going east on West Taylor St. and continues through downtown Griffin. Festivities will follow at Math Field on Ga. Highway 92. Other activities Saturday include arts and crafts, pony rides, food entertainment from country acts, re-enactments of the Gunfight at the O.K. Corral, an old car display and much more. The country and western concert will feature such acts as Joey Allcorn and the Hillbilly Band, Adam Gosdin and Mishell, Heather Williamson, Dean Baker performing as Gene Autry, Christy Carter, Country Dan Morgan, Boyd Anderson performing as Herb Jefferies, Larry and Tammy Lee (a father and daughter act) and Frank Brannon performing Doc Holliday Lives On. The fun continues Sunday with many of the same activities and a blues concert with the Atlanta All Stars featuring Beth Ann Dukes starting at 3 p.m. Admission to both days is free.
