Traditional Chinese medicine is topic of recent health talk

Li Hua, a licensed acupuncturist and doctor of traditional Chinese medicine, spoke last week to a group at Heritage of Peachtree Assisted Living Center in Fayetteville. The event was sponsored by Dr. Marilyn Durden of Durden Chiropractic Clinic in Tyrone.

Certified by NCCAOM (National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine), she has also been selected to serve on the Acupuncture Advisory Committee for the Composite State Board of Medical Examiners in Georgia.

Dr. Li Hua was trained in China and worked in one of the biggest Chinese medicine hospitals for many years before she came to the United States. Since she moved to Atlanta in 1994, she has worked with many medical doctors and health providers together to help her patients.

She is well-respected by fellow professionals and patients alike. Her professional ability as an acupuncturist, her high skill of Oriental bodywork TuiNa and her knowledge of Oriental herbal protocols have demonstrated positive outcomes to her patients.

Dr. Li Hua cohosted the weekly holistic medicine radio show “Dr. Susan On Call” from 1998-2001. Dr. Mitchell Ghen interviewed her twice on “Began A Ghen” radio shows in 1999. She was invited to talk about women’s health and traditional Chinese medicine on WSB Radio in 2000 and has been profiled in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Atlanta magazine and Atlanta Sports and Fitness, as well as on 11 Alive News and CNN.

Her Web site, www.aac2000.com, informs people about traditional Chinese medicine.

Durden Chiropractic Clinic is at 1130 Senoia Road, Suite B-4, in the North Village Professional Complex in Tyrone. For more information, contact 770-631-7600 or durdenclinic@hotmail.com.
