Wallpaper Windows and More celebrates 15 years in Peachtree City

“Steps in life,” according to Ann Spink, are what led her and husband, Bill, to start their business 15 years ago.

Ann had already had experience in decorating and wallpaper hanging, when the opportunity to buy the franchise, Wallpaper Atlanta, came to them. They knew they wanted to start a business in Peachtree City and decided this was the one for them. After a few years, they broke away from the Franchise and continued on their own.

The store, located in the Westpark Walk Shopping Center on the corner of Ga. highways 54 and 74 in Peachtree City, has a full wallpaper book library including designer lines, as well as many in-stock selections of wallpaper ready to buy. They have a custom drapery design center with thousands of fabric selections to cover every budget need — from average to high end.

A recent addition is the Hunter Douglas Gallery which is an alliance between Hunter Douglas, the world’s finest supplier of window fashions, and leading independent retailers. From wood blinds and Silhouette window shadings to accessories, you can find it all. Style. Quality. Expertise.

Working with individual clients in their own homes and helping them find that special look is what Spink loves most about her business.

“I enjoy accomplishing the challenge and making people happy with their choices and the money

they are spending,” said Spink. “Making their living space, a place they are happy in and

proud of.”

A relationship has to be formed with a client in order to perform each individual goal, which takes a lot of creativity and experience. This is a challenge she still enjoys.

Customer service sets Wallpaper Windows and More ahead of their larger competitors. With 15 years of experience, knowledge and accumulated resources they can help clients find that special window treatment, bedspread or fabric.

Bill Spink does the measurements and installation on blinds. Kay Moon, who has been at Wallpaper Windows and More for over 12 years and has helped decorate many Peachtree City homes, is the store manager. Cathie Smith, an expert in blinds, joined their staff almost 10 years ago and has a four-year design degree. The newest addition to their design staff is Rita Briggs, who has been there almost nine years and also has a design degree.

One of the clients they were proud to work with was Barbara Cobb, who was the interior decorator for Bob Adams Homes. They helped design the window treatments in many of their model homes. Doing a lot of work with interior decorators, has given them the title of “the decorator’s decorator.”
