It was a clean sweep for Fayette teams last weekend in the Region 4-AAAAA cross-country championships, as local squads took the top three spots in boys and girls competition.
Starr’s Mill took the boys crown easily, with 19 points to lead McIntosh (61) and Fayette County (67). The Panthers finished with the top three individual places and five of the top seven.
On the girls side, McIntosh won by a wide margin, scoring 29 points. They finished ahead of Starr’s Mill (63) and Fayette County (68). The Lady Chiefs had two of the top four runners and five of the top 10.
