“Howl-o-Ween” parade, contests to benefit PTC Dog Park

Dogs and their people can enjoy tricks for treats at “Howl-o-Ween” Saturday, Oct. 25, from 1-4 p.m. at Drake Field in Peachtree City.

Sponsored by the Peachtree City Dog Park Committee, the event will feature a costume parade, contests, entertainment, vendors and a donation raffle. All proceeds will help finance construction of the new off-leash dog park, scheduled to open in the McIntosh Recreation Area of Peachtree City in the spring of 2004.

Admission and the costume parade are free; $5 per dog will allow each animal to enter any and all contests. Ribbons will be awarded for the best dog costume, the bes dog, person look-a-like, best trick, biggest dog and smallest dog.

The donation raffle features more than 50 prizes, with two grand prizes of round-trip tickets on AirTran. Tickets are $1 each, 6 for $5 or 12 for $10 and are available from dog park committee members and at the event.

Phone 770-486-3478 for more information.
