Brooks Whitewater Baptist revival continues

Revival services at Whitewater Baptist Church in Brooks continue this week through Friday, Oct. 17. Services begin at 7 p.m. Former Whitewater pastor Randy Gardner is the guest preacher .

Trinity School consignment sale is Oct. 18

Trinity Christian School will have its annual children’s consignment sale Saturday, Oct. 18, from 9 a.m. until noon. A half-off sale will be held for all remaining items between 2 and 3 p.m. Items available will include children’s clothing sizes birth to preteen, maternity clothes, toys and equipment from more than 125 consignors. Clothing will be in good condition and displayed on racks. The school is 1.5 miles west of Peachtree City at the intersection of Ga. Hwys. 34 and 54, behind Collector’s Corner.

McDonough Road revival starts next Sunday

A “Purpose Driven Life Revival” is planned for Sunday through Wednesday, Oct. 19-22, at McDonough Road Baptist Church in Fayetteville. Services will be held at regular times on Sunday, 10:55 a.m. and 6 p.m., and will begin at 7 p.m. Monday-Wednesday. A revival choir also will bring special music during each service. Dinner is available each night at 6 p.m. by reservation and is being catered by the Fayetteville Dwarf House Chick-fil-A. Child care will be provided for each service. The church is at 352 McDonough Road, just beyond the soccer fields.

Bert Lance to speak at Inman Sunday

Bert Lance, former director of the Office of Management and Budget under former President Jimmy Carter, will be the guest speaker at the 11 a.m. service at Inman United Methodist church on Laity Sunday, Oct. 19. Lance also is well known as a sought-after lay speaker in the North Georgia United Methodist Conference. Inman UMC is at 151 Hills Bridge Rd., Fayetteville. Hopewell grief sessions run through October

The Hope of Suffering grief counseling sessions will continue through the month of October at Hopewell United Methodist Church, Tyrone. The first, “Coping due to loss of a child,” will be from 2-4 p.m. and “Coping due to loss by suicide” will be from 4:30-6:30 p.m. The sessions are led by Christian counselor Deana Riley, L.P.C., of InsideOut Dynamics, and the Rev. Mark Riley, pastor of Hopewell UMC. Reservations are required. Call the church, 770-306-7537, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Holly Grove A.M.E. to celebrate Women’s Day

Holly Grove AME Church will celebrate Women’s Day Sunday, Oct. 26, at 11 a.m. This year’s focus will be “The Power of a Spiritual Woman.” The speaker will be Sister Mary Smith, wife of the Rev. Rufus Smith, pastor of Mount Olive Baptist Church in LaGrange. All women in the community are encouraged to attend.
