Who has 2nd best job in metro?

Cal Beverly, editor and publisher of The Citizen, has the second-best job in the Atlanta area.
Of course, we all know that Leo Mullin, CEO of Delta, has the best job. Nothing can touch him overseeing Delta’s spending of millions of dollars year after year to protect his and other executive’s retirements and perks. This protection is good even if mismanagement causes the air line to go out of business.
Of course, he has managed to talk the federal government out of millions of dollars being transferred to Delta’s bank account. Never forget that the federal money also came from the taxpayers. Since all of us are supporting Delta executives, I look forward to receiving my paycheck any day. And a few extra perks wouldn’t be bad either.
Mr. Beverly has a wait and see job. All he has to do is wait to see what scandal develops each week in Peachtree City to develop a great headline story.
Over the years, I have heard many names for Peachtree City, some that cannot be written here, but the best name was said to me by a friend who lives there. His given name is “Plastic Town.” What could be more fitting?
Also hats off on the cartoon in The Citizen Oct. 1. Seems like “For the Children” is the motto of the Fayette County School Board. Can another SPLOST be in the near future?
