Fast, professional printing is the Minuteman way

Six days after buying Minuteman Press, Peachtree City’s Ken Logsdon was in New York City for three weeks of training. It was Sept. 4, 2001. One week later, he watched the world change.

But it’s what hasn’t changed that Logsdon focuses on today.

“Printing is a year-round need. There is always someone who needs a print job or a copy job — now,” he said. “We will always try to meet those needs. Our slogan is ‘Printing, for the job you needed yesterday.’”

A 30-year printing veteran, Logsdon knows his industry. He loves it when start-up companies come to him to design their whole presentation. He’ll prepare business cards, letterhead, envelopes, pocket folders, brochures and flyers. He gets great satisfaction from handing the customer their completed print job.

On a recent afternoon, Logsdon’s press operator carefully measured the side bar of color on a run of Group VI letterhead. To the millimeter, the job was going to be right. For customers like Group VI, Ici Paris, Davis Chiropractic Center or Starr’s Mill Academy, Logsdon knows he needs to provide neat, on time, consistent materials.

“Presenting yourself professionally is a way to grow your business,” he said.

Recently he hosted the Chamber of Commerce Small Business Luncheon. His presentation was about presentation. Imagine a business person writing their name and number on a piece of paper for a client, rather than handing over a well-printed business card. To Logsdon, that’s the professional equivalent of serving steak on the lid of a garbage can.

He knows there are better ways to do it. “Printing is about our professional work, that allows are customers to present their company in a professional print manner.”

Logsdon, who lives in Fayetteville with his wife Nancy and two children, enjoys his work at Minuteman Press Peachtree City. “Each day is different. There’s always a deadline to meet, and many new companies to learn about. I help them pick out just the right look to market their company.”

Logsdon and his staff at Minuteman Press Peachtree City are available Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m for walk-in service or e-mailed files for custom printing, black and white copies and color copies. Located at the corner of Ga. highways 54 and 74 in Westpark Walk, Minuteman
