Local Auburn club meets Saturday The Coweta-Fayette Auburn Club will hold its 1st game watching party for the 2003 season for the Auburn/Arkansas game. The event will be held on Saturday, Oct. 11 at Y-Knot's Sports Bar in Peachtree City beginning at 11:30 a.m. with kickoff scheduled for 12:30 p.m The second game watching party will be held at Loco's Deli and Pub in Newnan for the Auburn/LSU game on Oct. 25. The Auburn/LSU game watching party will begin one hour prior to kickoff. Food and drink specials will be available for both parties, along with a raffle for Auburn merchandise and prizes. Club members, Auburn alumni, and friends of Auburn are invited to attend and support the Tigers. A general members meeting will be held prior to the Arkansas game covering the club status, upcoming plans for 2004, along with general inforamtion about Auburn and the Alumni club. All Coweta- Fayette club members are encouraged to attend. The Coweta-Fayette Auburn Club First Annual Whupper Lee Scholarship Golf Tournament was held on Aug. 23 at Orchard Hills Golf Club in Newnan. The tournament was a huge success hosting 68 players and raising over $4,800 dollars. Proceeds from the tournament will be awarded to local students who will be attending Auburn University in the fall of 2004.
