Gordon soccer sees success Several local players are helping Gordon College have a very successful 2003 season in women’s soccer. The team, coached by Harold Henderson, is currently ranked 13th in the nation in NJCAA Division I soccer. This is the first time in the school’s history that the soccer team has been ranked in the Top 15. Kristi Wilhite of McIntosh has been ranked throughout the year among the nation’s top 20 scorers. She currently has 11 goals and 7 assists on the season. Other local players on the Gordon team include Jodi Russo of Fayette County, Kellie Miller of Sandy Creek, and Michelle Bergeron and Ashley Bowman of East Coweta. Bergeron is a starting defender.
