Spirit of Industry nominations now being accepted by chamber

The Existing Industry Council of the Fayette County Chamber of Commerce is now calling for nominations and to solicit sponsorships for the annual Spirit of Industry Awards.

The Council seeks nominations of Chamber of Commerce members in the following categories:

• Large Industry of the Year (over 75 employees).
• Small Industry of the Year (under 75 employees).
• Exporter/Importer of the Year (new award).
• New Industry of the Year (new award for business in operation less than 3 years).

Applications are available from the Chamber of Commerce with a deadline of Sept. 30. Sponsorships opportunities for the awards reception are Gold ($1,500), Silver ($1,000) or Bronze ($500). Sponsors receive recognition via banners and introductions during the reception as well as tickets for the event. Deadline is Oct. 7. The Spirit of Industry Awards ceremony and reception will be Tuesday, Oct. 21, at 5:30 p.m. in the Tara Room at Aberdeen Woods Conference Center. Tickets are $10.
