Heritage ups record to 5-0-1 The Heritage Hawks boys varsity soccer team added to its win total last week with two region victories. The team traveled to LaGrange Academy Sept. 16 and came away with a 6-0 region victory. The Hawks were led in scoring by Alden Marchman with three goals and one assist, followed by Bart Harvischak with two goals and an assist and Ryan Ware with a goal and an assist. Also tallying assists were James Cox with two assists and John Fukunaga with one assist. Sean Steen recorded the shutout, his third on the season. The Hawks hosted last years region runnerup, West Georgia Christian, last Friday. They continued their winning ways but not without a strong first-half struggle from the Lions. Alden Marchman again led the Hawks in scoring with four goals on the day and two assists. Bart Harvischak and Ryan Ware chipped in with two goals and an assist apiece. Also getting assists were John Fukunaga, David Soulen and Drew Spangler. The defense had to work much harder this game but was equal to the task. Sean Steen faced five shots, including one off the post, but was able to get his fourth shutout.
