Whitewater booster luncheon adds speaker, prizes

Tickets are still available for the Whitewater Booster Club’s luncheon Saturday, Sept. 27, at noon at Christ Church @ Whitewater.

The keynote speaker is Jeff Van Note, former Atlanta Falcons center and now a color commentator for the team’s radio broadcasts. Also speaking will be D.L. Claborn, a former collegiate referee for more than 20 years and executive director of the Atlanta Touchdown Club who was recently nominated for the Georgia Athletic Association Hall of Fame as a contributor.

A number of items will be given away at the event, including an autographed Mike Vick jersey, an autographed Mark Richt football and choice seats to an upcoming Falcons game with a parking pass.

Doors open at 11:30 a.m. Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 at the door while available. Seats are limited and advance purchases are recommended to guarantee a spot.
