If you enjoy plants and enjoy being around people, then you might want to consider becoming a Master Gardener. Classes will be held at the Clayton County Commissioners Conference Center Mondays and Wednesdays, 2-4:30 p.m., Jan. 5-March 18.

A $100 fee is charged for notebook and other supplies. A limited number of scholarships are available on a financial need basis.

Topics to be covered include landscape design, annuals and perennials, trees, ornamental shrubs, fruit and vegetable gardening, pest identification and control, plant physiology, entomology and pathology, lawn care and more.
