Constitution celebration next week

The General Daniel Newnan Chapter, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution will celebrate the 216th anniversary of the Constitutional Convention ratifying the Constitution of the United States Sept. 16 at 7 p.m. at the home of Terri Fopiano, Chapter Historian, in Fayetteville.

Joyce Patton, West Central District Director, Georgia State Society, will speak on the Constitution and its continuing importance in today's world.

The General Daniel Newnan Chapter serves Coweta, Fayette, and Meriwether counties in a variety of educational and patriotic endeavors. Guests and members of other chaptersare always welcome. For information or directions, contact Membership Chairman Jeannine Jackson 770-253-6517.
