Cheers for Mike's Wayne story I would like to say that Mike Boylan's article on the Frederick Brown, Jr. Amphitheater and his evening with Wayne Newton and his band is the best account I've ever read of what goes on before, during, and after one of Wayne's shows. As one of the Louisiana Wayniacs, I've been to my fair share of road shows and Mike's article made me feel like I was there! Cindy Williamson cindywilliamson@earthlink.net
I was not at the shows but I am a Wayniacs and have seen Wayne perform many times since 1970 but this is one of the best stories I've read. It really gives everyone idea as to what kind of time frame these people are on and what all has to happen to make the show work! Wayne is an incrediable performer and always says "thank you" to those around him and to those that come from far and near to decorate the dressing rooms! Thanks for such a great story. What a wonderful story. You saw the real Wayne Newton and all the abilities he does have as well as how personable and friendly he is. No one can handle an audience as well as he can. As a member of WNIFC who was not fortunate enough to make the show this time I want you to know how much I appreciated your article. Thank you for letting other people see this side of Wayne and the various things that go on back stage. Ruth Toon ruthtoon@yahoo.com
