What are plans for Line Creek Cemetery?

What does Fayette County plan to do with the Line Creek Baptist Church Cemetery situation? What if the church and land sells to someone who wants to destroy the cemetery? What if another church buys it and has no interest in the cemetery?

Does Fayette County have a plan at all? Too many of our cemeteries are disappearing, most without our knowledge. I have at least eight family members buried there, and have no intention of letting this lie. I will fight for this cemetery and I plan not to let this rest.

I know our ancestors had no idea we would be so intolerant of their remains. I think it was Benjamin Franklin said, "Show me your cemeteries and I'll tell you what kind of people you have."

Why in other parts of the country do they respect the dead and protect cemeteries, [while] here in the South, we seem to have no respect for our future, let alone our past.

Please help us protect our cemeteries.
