Fayetteville First Baptist schedules auditions for Christmas musical

Fayetteville First Baptist Church will hold team and ensemble auditions for "His Kingdom Shall Never End," its upcoming Christmas musical, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 4, 6, and 7 from 7-9 p.m.

Auditions are not limited to church members only. "Anyone desiring to help celebrate the birth of Christ through exciting, high-energy song is encouraged to audition," a spokesperson said.

The production is a brand new praise and worship musical for the Christmas season. "The musical takes a fresh look at the biblical nativity narratives found in the Gospels of Matthew, Luke, and John, and Scripture found in Isaiah," the spokesperson continued. "The sounds of 'His Kingdom Shall Never End' are fresh and contemporary, but still include many of the traditional Christmas melodies we've grown to love."

Robin Drewry, choral director at Whitewater Middle School and a member of the music staff at First Baptist, will direct the musical. Steve Hester is director of worship and music for First Baptist.

To schedule an audition, call the church office, 770-461-TRUE.
