McDonough Rd. Baptist expands children's ministry

McDonough Road Baptist Church Mother's Morning Out ministry will move to two days a week beginning Sept. 2. The ministry is for children ages six weeks through four years and meets on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. The church is at 352 McDonough Road, just past the County Line Road intersection. Community Bible study begins Sept. 5

Community Bible Study, an interdenominational study program, will resume Friday, Sept. 5 and will continue through April 2004. Classes will meet on Fridays from 9:30-11:30 a.m. at Providence United Methodist Church, 592 Bernhard Rd., south of Fayetteville. This year's study will be on the book of Luke. Grace Evangelical plans ladies' Bible study

Registration open for Moms Morning Out

Fayette Presbyterian Church at 791 Forest Avenue (Hwy 92 North) is offering a Mom's Morning Out Program for children ages 6 weeks to 3 years. Registrations are now being accepted for the 2003-2004 session, which begins Sept. 2. Children are invited to join in fun learning activities on Tuesday mornings from 9 a.m.-noon. Fairburn UMC plans revival Sept. 9-11

The Rev. Al Turner will be the guest minister at Fairburn United Methodist's fall revival scheduled for Tuesday through Friday, Sept. 9-11 at 7 p.m. Tuesday night's service has been designated Youth Emphasis Night and youth in the area are invited to the Youth House for pizza at 6 p.m., prior to the service. Police and firefighters will be honored in remembrance of 9/11 with a spaghetti dinner at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 11. For more information, call the church office, 770-964-3393.

Body of Christ schedules conference

The Body of Christ International, U.S.A. invites all men to the "Mighty men of Valor Conference" scheduled for Friday, Oct. 3, at 7 p.m., and Saturday, Oct. 4, at 9 a.m. The speakers will be Pastor Randy Morrison of Speak the Word Church International in Golden Valley, Minn., and Pastor Michael Moore of Faith Chapel Christian Center in Birmingham, Ala. Also speaking will be Dr. Joseph M. Ripley, pastor of Body of Christ Church. There is no charge to attend the conference. The Body of Christ is at 3650 Flat Shoals Rd. in College Park. North Fayette UMC hosts open house

The Parent's Day Out program at North Fayette United Methodist Church will have an open house Thursday, Aug. 28, from 11 a.m. until noon. Spaces are currently available in all classrooms. Class dates are Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. Children ages three months to four years are eligible to participate.
