PTC cops find large amount of marijuana during traffic stop A Newnan woman was arrested Wednesday after a traffic stop led officers to over 20 bags of marijuana in her car, police said. Shemika Deann Gates, 23, of Newnan is charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, driving with a suspended license and speeding, police said. After her vehicle was pulled over for traffic violations, police discovered the stash of marijuana in a canister, police said. The investigation into the matter will continue, focusing on whether or not Gates was selling the drugs in Peachtree City, police said. John Munford
