E. Coweta grad honored at CCSU

Jennifer Parks has been named the Outstanding Bachelor of Applied Science (BAS) in Administrative Management Graduate for 2002/2003 from the School of Technology at Clayton College and State University.

After graduating from East Coweta High School, Parks started at Clayton State in January 1999, and finished with a BAS in Administrative Management in December 2002. School of Technology graduates with a 3.5 GPA or higher are nominated by faculty members for the School's four main academic awards. Faculty members must indicate why nominated students are outstanding what makes the student(s) nominated stand out. Then, a committee of faculty members determines who receives the awards from among those nominated.

"Jennifer stood out as a strong student, always doing her work in a professional manner, a perfectionist, helpful to others a very strong student," says Dr. Benita H. Moore, associate dean of the School of Technology.

Parks, who says she enjoyed her courses and teachers at Clayton State, now plans to take care of her three month old daughter at her Tyrone residence. She is also looking for employment, ideally in a big company where she can work in marketing.
