NCTC presents "M.A.S.H."-themed murder mystery

You want a mystery? A dinner? A drink or two? A murder? You got it. Newnan Community Theatre Company's spring Murder Mystery Fundraiser got a little sidetracked, but it has finally shown up on the "Radar."

"Murder in the 4077th" will "report for duty" Aug. 15-16 and will include the characters audiences who loved on the hit series "M.A.S.H." expect. The evening will begin in the Mess Tent at 6:30 p.m. both nights for a gourmet military-style feast (food that goes splat! when it hits the tray), an intriguing mystery and many murders not including the poor victims, er, patients brought into surgery from the front lines, romance, and a lot of fun. The evening will close with sumptuous desserts, coffee, and prizes galore. Newnan Community Theatre Company encourgaes audiences to jump into your best fatigues, bone up on your "M.A.S.H." trivia, dust off your martini glass and enjoy a great evening of murder and mayhem.

The cast for "Murder in the 4077th" stars some NCTC favorites such as Joel Bray, Matthew Bailey Jr., Alison Chambers, Stan Gentry, Caroline Thrasher, Allison Rohan, and Tonya Jefferson, however, this year there will be several opportunities for audience members to put on a name tag and step right into the action themselves. Since this is a fundraiser for NCTC, there will also be many opportunities for you to enjoy extra games and activities for a small donation - There is talk of a Doctor's Putting Green, Hot Lips' Kissing Booth, and Makeovers by Klinger. Who knows, you might also be able to get that cosmetic surgery done at a discount.

The cost is just $10 a person, with drinks available. To make reservations call the theatre at 770-683-NCTC.
