Nanci Henderson Oliver


Nanci Henderson Oliver, 46, Pinellas Park, Fla. died July 26, 2003. She was born June 14, 1957 in Wichita, Kan., and attended schools in DeLand and Monticello, Fla. She was preceded in death by her father, Donald Leo McKenna. She lived in Albany, Ga. and the St. Petersburg/Clearwater, Fla., area, where she worked in sales. Survivors include her son and fiancée, Justin Henderson and Megan Vanover; a grandson, Jacob Henderson, all of Pinellas Park; her mother and stepfather, Dorothy L. Miller and John Hedrick, Monticello; a brother, Steven and Norma McKenna, Tallahassee; sisters, Sherri McKenna and Steve Wellborn, Tallahassee, Donna and Neil Parker, and Savannah and Matt Rogers, all of Peachtree City; grandparents, Joseph L. and Dorothy Parrick, Gravette, Ark.; nine nieces and nephews. Dana Anne Rogers Tancraitor


Dana Anne Rogers Tancraitor, 39, Conyers, died July 30, 2003. She was born Dec. 11, 1963 in Atlanta. Services were at Christ our Shepherd Lutheran Church with the Rev. John Weber and Pastor Miriam Beecher officiating. Survivors include her husband, John Tancraitor, Conyers; mother, Judi Rogers Kubitz, Peachtree City, father, Dan P. Rogers; stepfather, John K. Kubitz, Peachtree City; grandfather, Peter P. Rogers; grandmother, Maryanne Rogers; brothers, Michael Rogers and Peter Kubitz; nephews, Jay Yaskin, and Peter Yaskin; a niece, Mikayla Rogers; and a godson, Nathan P. Rogers. Carl J. Dianne Louise Boyd


Dianne Louise Boyd, 59, Fayetteville, died Aug. 1, 2003. She was born Aug. 14, 1943 in North Carolina. She was preceded in death by her father, Austin Miller, and a sister, Carole Miller. She was graduated from the Red Bank High School, Chattanooga. She had a special love for the ocean, especially the big Sur Coast, California. She had lived in Fayette County for 33 years. Memorial services were held at the Carl J. Mowell chapel with the Rev. Chuck Griffith officiating. Memorial services were also held at the Red Bank Presbyterian Church, Chattanooga, with the Rev. Everett Gossett officiating. Survivors include her husband of 34 years, Robert C. Boyd, Fayetteville; and children, Kimberly and C. J. Vondrehle, and David and Amanda Boyd. Miriam L. Strum


Miriam L. Strum, 86, Fayetteville, died Aug. 2, 2003. She was born Oct. 26, 1916 in Fulton County. She was preceded in death by her husband, Moody A. Strum. Graveside services were at the College Park Cemetery with the Rev. Tom Pilgrim officiating. Survivors include a daughter, Ellen and Eugene Ellison, Fayetteville; granddaughters, Nancy and Bill Smith, Sharpsburg, Teri and Greg Holland, Fayetteville, Sue and Don Exley, Clyo, Georgia, and Holly and Tripp Copeland, Peachtree City; 11 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Dorothy M. Hill


Dorothy M. Hill, 90, Tyrone, formerly of Williamsburg, Va., died Aug. 2, 2003. She was born Sept. 12, 1912, in Baltimore, Md. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd W. Hill. Memorial services will be held at a later date. Survivors include her sons, Thomas S. Hill Sr., Cape Elizabeth, Me., and Fredrick L. Hill, Williamsburg, Va.; daughters, Elizabeth H. Seel, Greensboro, N. C., and Margaret McKinney, Tyrone, Ga.; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Peachtree City, was in charge.

Helmi Airine Fry


Helmi Airine Fry, 92, Peachtree City, died Aug. 6, 2003. She was born in French Lake, Minn. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Howard Fry Jr. Services were at the Carl J. Mowell chapel with the Rev. Steve Bingham officiating. Interment was at the Marietta, Georgia, National Cemetery. Survivors include sons, Paul and Mirhae Fry, Peachtree City, and Jesse Fry, Carmel, Calif.; two grandsons; two granddaughters; three great-grandsons; and four great-granddaughters. Carl J. Jacquelyon Nichols


Jacquelyon Nichols, 65, Fayetteville, died Aug. 7, 2003. She was born Nov. 5, 1937 in Fulton County. Services were at the Carl J. Mowell chapel with interment at Camp Memorial Park, Fayetteville. Survivors include her husband, James Nichols, Fayetteville; a daughter, Tina and Nels Nielsen, Fayetteville; and grandchildren, Crystal and Charles Spriggs, and Brittany Nielsen, all of Fayetteville. H.C. McMillan Jr.


H. C. “Mac” McMillan Jr., 81, Riverdale, Fayette County, died Aug. 7, 2003. He was born Oct. 4, 1921 in Fulton County. He was retired from Delta Air Lines. He was a member of the Cascade Masonic Lodge F&AM #94, and a member of the Fayetteville First United Methodist Church. Services were at the Carl J. Mowell Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Dr. Sam Matthews and the Rev. Tom Pilgrim officiating. Interment was at Westview Cemetery, Atlanta. Survivors include his wife, Thelma McMillan, Riverdale, Fayette County; a son, Gary and Connie McMillan, Chesterfield, Mo.; a daughter, Sheryl and Marshall Collins, Fayette County; grandchildren, Shawn, Kelly, Seth, and Ashley; a brother, D. G. and Melba McMillan, Okeechobee; and sister, Lois Brantley, Marietta. Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Fayetteville, was in charge.

Evelyn Marie Hill Wallace


Evelyn Marie Hill Wallace, 80, Fayetteville, died Aug. 9, 2003. She was born on Oct. 18, 1922. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Wallace. Services were at the Higgins at Holly Hill chapel, with interment at Antioch Baptist Church, Woolsey. Survivors include a son, Lenard Wallace; daughters, Marie Barronton, and Essie Johnson; a sister, Mandy Patterson; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Higgins at Holly Hill, Fairburn, was in charge.
