Town Hall Meeting To Discuss Fayette County School Issues To Be Held At Peachtree City's Holly Grove A.M.E. Church

The Fayette County NAACP Branch Education Committee and the Public Policy Development of the Southeast Region Inc. will host a public forum, town-hall style meeting on Fayette County school issues. It is scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 23, from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. at Holly Grove A.M.E. Church.

A panel of six invited participants will lead the discussions that include Fayette County's school superintendent, school board chair, teacher of the year, school discipline administrator, a parent and student. Please come out and discuss your concerns with the Fayette County school system including disciplinary issues, class conduct, student-teacher relations, parent-teacher relations, school curriculum issues and other concerns. Holly Grove A.M.E. Church is located at 400 Holly Grove Church Road in Peachtree City. Refreshments will be served.

Also, final plans are underway for the annual Fayette NAACP Freedom Fund Dinner and Fundraiser scheduled for Oct. 25 at 7 p. m. This year's Fayette NAACP Freedom Fund theme is "Journey to Justice."

The next regular meeting of the Fayette NAACP will be Saturday, Sept. 13, at Flat Rock A.M.E. Church between Peachtree City and Fayetteville, just off Highway 54 at 148 Old Chapel Road. Please call 770-460-9934 for more information.
