Quick-Turner reunion coming in Sept.

The 5th Annual Quick-Turner reunion is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 6. The Turner-Quicks lived in Fayette County and contiguous counties.

Held at the new Salem Baptist Church, it will be from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. You are asked to bring a covered dish and memorabilia to share. A discussion will be held on the native American aspect of the family.

If you know you are related through Mary Jane Middlebrooks, Etta Tapley, Roland Mal, John Henry "Spank" Wells, Will Quick, Minerva and John Wesley Turner, Sarah and Franklin Stubbs, William, Sarah or Colin Missouri Quick, David Quick or Eliza Louisa Thomas, you are encouraged to attend.

The New Salem Baptist Church, Family Life Center, is located at 113 New Salem Road in Griffin.
